You can add residents, remove residents, or edit resident information while looking at a particular unit in the LittleBird web portal. 


Locate a unit

  1. Log into the LittleBird web portal on your desktop device. 

  2. Browse to the Units & Residents (person) icon in the navigation bar. You can locate a unit in three different ways: 

  3. Scroll through the overall unit list, which is listed in numerical order.

  1. Enter a unit number or resident name into the Search field.

  1. Click the Filter by automation dropdown menu and select Active or Inactive to sort units according to their Smart Home activity status. 

Adding a resident to a unit

  1. Once you’ve located your desired unit in the Unit page, click that unit’s number listed in the panel. 

  2. Click the Add Resident button. 

  3. Enter the new resident’s personal information. 

    1. Enter the resident’s first and last name in the First Name and Last Name text fields. 

    2. Enter the resident’s email in the Email text field. 

    3. If you would like to record the resident’s phone number, enter this information in the Phone text field. 

  4. If you would like to give the resident the option to receive SMS messages (the resident would then personally decide this in their LittleBird app), click the Can Receive SMS option box.

  5. Once you’ve finished entering all of your resident’s information, click the Save Resident button. You’ll now see that the new resident is added to the unit. This resident will receive an email prompting them to download the LittleBird mobile app. You can always resend this invitation by clicking the More Options (...) icon on the resident's panel and then clicking the Resend Invite (envelope) option. 

Note: If you no longer wish to add the resident, simply click the Cancel or Back button.  

Deleting a resident from a unit

  1. Once you have located your desired unit in the Unit page, clock the unit’s number in the Unit # column. 

  2. Click the More Options (...) icon on the panel of the resident you wish to remove from your unit. 

  3. Click the Remove (trash can) option. You will see a message prompting you to confirm that you wish to remove the resident. 

  4. Click the Yes button. The resident will be immediately removed from the unit. 

Note: If you no longer wish to remove the resident, simply click Cancel

Editing a resident’s information 

  1. Once you have located your desired unit in the Unit page, click the unit’s number in the Unit # column. 

  2. Click the More Options (...) icon on the panel for the resident you wish to edit. 

  3. Click the Edit (pencil) option. You can now make changes to the resident’s information in the presented text fields and selection options. 

  4. When you are finished making changes, click the Save Resident button. 

Note: If you no longer wish to make changes, simply click Cancel
