How to Manage Guests and Guest Access

If you live in a community with LittleBird Smart Access or Smart Home features, you can add guests and grant them access to your community or living space, all within your LittleBird Mobile App. You can also make changes to guest information and access privileges.


Manually Adding a Guest 

To add a guest directly into the LittleBird Mobile App:

  1. Log into the LittleBird app

  2. Tap Guests (people icon) in the navigation bar at the bottom of the page

  3. Tap Add a Guest

  4. Input your guest’s NameEmail Address, and Phone Number

  5. Tap Continue in the bottom right-hand corner of the page

  6. Select the type of access you wish to grant by tapping the Community and/or Unit Access checkboxes

  7. Tap Continue

  8. Choose the access period for the guest

    1. Today gives access to the guest until midnight that day

    2. Daily allows you to choose the days of the week their access will be active

    3. Custom allows you to set specific days of the week, time windows, and dates their access will be active

  9. If Daily or Custom are selected, choose the days and times your guest will have access

  10. Tap Continue

  11. Tap Back to Guest List to exit

Your guest will receive a text message containing their unique access PIN and QR codes to access your community and/or living space. Now, your guest can access your community and/or living space by typing their PIN code into the keypad (physical or touchscreen) or scanning their QR code into an intercom’s built-in camera; no app download required! 


Adding a Guest From Contacts

To add a guest from your phone’s contact list:

  1. Log into the LittleBird app

  2. Tap Guests (people icon) in the navigation bar at the bottom of the page

  3. Tap Add a Guest From Contacts

  4. Allow LittleBird to access your contacts

  5. Choose your desired contact from the list

  6. Tap Continue

  7. Select the type of access you wish to grant by tapping the Community and/or Unit Access checkboxes

  8. Tap Continue

  9. Choose the access period for the guest

    1. Today gives access to the guest until midnight that day

    2. Daily allows you to choose the days of the week their access will be active

    3. Custom allows you to set specific days of the week, time windows, and dates their access will be active

  10. If Daily or Custom are selected, choose the days and times your guest will have access

  11. Tap Continue

  12. Tap Back to Guest List to exit


Editing or Removing Guests

If you ever need to edit a guest’s info or access or need to revoke altogether:

  1. Log into the LittleBird app

  2. Tap Guests (people icon) in the navigation bar at the bottom of the page

  3. To remove a guest and their access, tap Delete next to the guest you wish to remove

    1. Tap Delete Guest to confirm

  4. To edit a guest and their access, tap Edit next to the guest you wish to edit

    1. Make any desired to the guest’s contact details

    2. Tap the Pencil Icon next to Community or Unit Access to edit what the guest has access to

    3. Tap the Pencil Icon next to Daily Access, Today Access, or Custom Access to adjust when the guest has access to your community and/or living space

  5. Once edits are complete, tap Save Changes in the bottom right-hand corner of the page

Tap Back to Guest List to exit
