How to Post and Manage Resident Announcements

Easily connect with each of your residents by posting important announcements through the LittleBird web portal.

Locate the announcements page

  1. Log into the LittleBird web portal on your desktop device. 

  2. Browse to the Smart Community (building) icon in the navigation column.

  3. Click the Expand (v) icon to reveal the dropdown menu containing the Announcements item.

  4. Click on the Announcements item to reveal your property’s current list of community announcements.

Create an announcement

  1. Click the Add Announcement button on the announcements page to open the Announcement Details form field.

  2. Click into the Announcement Title section and fill out the appropriate information.

Note: This section of the form field must be completed in order to send your announcement. 

  1. Click into the Announcement Description section to include any important details related to your announcement. 

Send an announcement

  1. Use the Groups section to determine who will receive your announcement. Your community’s buildings will show up in a list within this section. 

To send the announcement to each resident on your property, click the box next to All Residents. A checkmark will appear in the box. 

For announcements that are building-specific, click into the empty boxes next to each of the names of the applicable buildings. Each building that has a checkmark next to its name will receive your announcement. 

  1. Click the Post Announcement button when you are ready to send your announcement to residents or click Cancel to clear the form and delete your draft of the announcement.


Pin an announcement

Pinning an announcement ensures that it will be listed at the top of the announcement board within the LittleBird mobile app which helps your residents see it first. 

  1. To pin a specific announcement, navigate to the Announcements page and locate the announcement you’d like to pin. 

  2. Then, click the thumbtack icon that appears next to the announcement’s title. You’ll know the announcement has been pinned when the icon changes from empty to filled-in. 

  3. To unpin the announcement simply click the thumbtack icon again.


Remove an announcement

  1. To delete an announcement at any time, click the title of your announcement in the Announcements page. 

  2. Proceed to click Remove Announcement on the Announcement Details form field page. 

  3. Click the Yes button on the confirmation message that appears.
